An Overview of the Research on the Theory of Market Structure

The market structure directly associates with the stable and healthy development of industry. This paper summarize and comment on the connotation, classification and measurement of market structure, the development of market structure theory and research on the market structure of China's real estate industry. Related research reveals that incomplete competition and the existence of regional monopoly power is the characteristics of Chinese real estate industry. The results of Lerner index suggest that the degree of China's real estate monopoly is on the high side. Reorganize the order of real estate market and promote the competition of real estate market are the long-term policies to be taken.
