摘要

A total variation diminishing (TVD) scheme has been refined to solve depth-integrated flow and solute transport equations, which enables large gradients in the flow and concentration fields to be accurately predicted. This paper focuses on the implementation of the TVD-MacCormack scheme for the solute transport equation. Some idealized and practical examples are presented to illustrate the performance of the model. It is shown that the developed numerical model is free of spurious oscillations across steep concentration variations, and retains high accuracy and efficiency.
