This paper presents an intelligent home multi-robot system for old man or some peoples in need of bed rest. Its critical general technologies are discussed. The system is composed of a home nursing robot, a multi-function nursing bed robot, a human physiological parameters monitor, a remote control system for intelligent household electric appliance and a general control system. Its composition and scheme, every robot and control system are designed in details. Some critical general technologies of intelligent home multi-robot system was analyzed, including distributed planning, mechanical structure design, sensing system, control system, voice recognition, vision positioning system, multi-robot coordinated movement control and cooperation, and communication equation among them. Experimentation results indicate that a person which is being nursed in the bed can be serviced through voice control system or remote control system by the system instead of a nurse. A simple global vision positioning system insures the position accuracy of moving and fetching an object. Data exchange among these robots through a building a wireless LANs and this effectively accomplishes real-time and time-order control of robots' motion.
