AUTOMATIC CONSTRUCTION OF ENGLISH-CHINESE PARALLEL TERM DATABASE

摘要

To construct a English-Chinese parallel term database based on websites is mainly work in this paper. The common English glossary which is used to grab web pages is worked out based on statistical methods. The web pages containing English-Chinese parallel terms are grabbed from some websites using the tool of Wget. The English-Chinese parallel terms are extracted from the grabbed web pages by the designing software, and the database consisting of EnglishChinese parallel terms is constructed. Retrieval system online based English-Chinese parallel term database is designed.
