Quantitative analysis of mung bean starch mixed with corn starch was investigated using near infrared spectrum technique. Mung bean starch and corn starch were collected in our experiment, and the experimental samples (n=40) were prepared with the corn starch adulterated with mung bean starch. During the quantitative analysis, 27 samples were considered as calibration set, and 13 samples were considered as test set. The model of quantitative analysis was established with partial least square (PLS). After comparison with a variety of spectral pretreatment, the optimal pretreatment method was chosen. The results demonstrated that using near infrared spectrum technique, the presence and content of corn starch could be successfully detected form the mung bean starch.
