Multimedia has become the primary way of classroom teaching. In this paper, traditional teaching methods and multi-media teaching methods are analyzed from four factors of teaching content, teaching atmosphere, teaching effectiveness and teaching environment. The analysis model is built with analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Based on it, the effects of the four factors for the two methods are researched by comparative method. The results show that multimedia teaching methods is better than traditional teaching methods from the engineering point. The proposed approach offers a selection of different teaching methods for teacher.
