摘要

In this paper, we propose an on-line detective technique of river sediment measurement based on image processing. The first step of the detective technique is to get the river sediment by sinking the underwater camera equipment into the designated section using the existing hydrology cableway in river hydrological stations. After the workstation computer sends control command to the underwater camera, the camera starts to photo the thin-layer of sediment flow, and transfers the image data to river hydrological station through collecting card based on ARM. The workstation computer de-noise, segment, calculate and statistic each section images so as to obtain the whole river sediment. Furthermore, we analyze the image acquisition influences of these factors, such as underwater light resource, underwater object brightness test, water path brightness and water object image expressing degree. Finally, we implement a river sediment image acquisition system. The experiments show the image acquisition device of river sediment provides images suitable for image processing, which is a foundation to achieve the application of image processing in the online detective measurement of river sediment.
