MARRYING TWO FACILITIES ENGINEERING CULTURES

TNK-BP is a Russian company which was founded in 2003. It is the third largest oil and gas company in Russia. It has a heritage drawn from its shareholders, TNK and BP. It benefits from two strong engineering cultures. The paper will give an overview of some of the key facilities engineering issues facing the company. The paper will contrast the difference in cultural approach based on both existing technologies and some novel technologies that are being developed in Russia.
