OPTIMAL TRAINING AND TECHNOLOGY DECISION-MAKING VIA A CONSTRAINED SHORTEST PATH METHOD

The research explores the relationships among training methods, education levels of employees,and technology use in regards to their correlations with the success of the firm in terms of profitand labor productivity. A constrained shortest path algorithm is implemented to determineoptimal organizational decisions within a firm using empirical data from Statistics Canada’sWorkplace and Employee Survey (WES), 1999-2004.
