Meteorological data of two locations viz., Meerut and Nagina (Bynor) district of Uttar Pradesh having different physio graphic condition were analyzed to study the variation during past 10 years. Average relative humidity was higher for Nagina (Bynor) (87.98%) as compared to Meerut (82.12%). Analysis reveals that relative humidity increased slightly @ 0.176 and 0.116 per cent per year in Nagina and Meerut, respectively. Annual average maximum temperature 30.95°C was found in Meerut while in Nagina it was 29.0°C. Annual average maximum temperature decline @ 0.147°C per year in Meerut while in Nagina @ 0.0007°C / year. The annual average minimum temperature was more in Meerut (17.680C) while slightly lower (16.69°C) in Nagina. Increasing trend in average minimum temperature on moving average basis was found in Nagina 0.025°C , while declining trend @ 0.156°C in case of Meerut. Appreciable variation was found among the average sunshine hours calculated for two locations highest (7.19 hrs/day) being at Nagina and lowest (6.65 hrs/day) at Meerut. Rising trend @ 0.09 and 0.057 hows/year in Meerut and Nagina, respectively was found. In rainfall distribution pattern, Nagina station received more rainfall (1192.53mm) on annual average basis while Meerut received only 805.98mm rainfall. About 80 per cent of annual rainfall was received as monsoon rain at both the locations. The per cent of annual rainfall during spring and winter seasons were more or less similar at both the locations. The analysis predict that annual rainfall at Meerut declined @ 32.70mm/'year while a rising trend @ 42.25mm/year was found at Nagina. The variation in the climatic condition of these areas may be attributed to variation in land use pattern of the area alongwith industrializationand urbanization.Under subtropical Indian condition particularly in U.P. recovery per cent in sugar, khandsari and even gur varied with the climatic changes.
