In order to study the relationship between metal fatigue and metal magnetic memory signals,rotating bending fatigue tests were conducted.Taking medium carbon 45 steel specimens with different pre-cracks in the middle as studying objects,the tangential components of magnetic field intensities of 3 measurement points,one at the crack and another two points 5mm far away from the crack in each side respectively,were measured.The results show that the tangential components of magnetic signals reduce gradually with increasing numbers of cycle.The bigger loads that specimens subjected to,the faster it reduces.It also reduces as the width of pre-cracks increasing.While the loading frequency has no visible effect to the decrease speed.
