Single crystal of ferroelectric (Bi,Na)TiO_3-BaTiO_3 (BNT-BT) with tetragonal P4mm structure grown by a top-seeded solution growth (TSSG) method at a high oxygen pressure (PO_2) °f 0.9 MPa and their properties were compared with those of the crystals grown at a PO_2 of 0.1 MPa. The crystals obtained at PO_2 = 0.9 MPa exhibited a remanent polarization (P_r) of 54 μC/cm~2, which was much larger than those of the crystals grown at PO_2 = 0.1 MPa (20 μC/cm~2). It is suggested that the large P_r is attributed to a low oxygen vacancy concentration.
