摘要

In order to study the influence of micro-vibration induced by traffic vehicles on heritage buildings. Field measurement was accomplished in South gate of Xi'an ancient wall where traffic density is the greatest in Xi'an. The acceleration attenuation formula of the vertical vibration in rammed soil is derived by composite regression method, considering pervasion of elastic wave energy and energy absorption of soil medium. Analysis of results showed that the acceleration attenuation in rammed soil of the city wall is quick, which different with the ground vibration attenuation tendency with enlargement area. Horizontal peak particle velocity value (PPV) in EW direction is lower than SN direction the one along the traffic road. In some cases, the horizontal PPV values exceeded the restricted value of China standards (0.1mm/s).
