摘要

Carbamazepine has slow, irregular and dissolution rate-limited absorption. Effect of betacyclodextrin complexation on diffusion, permeability using everted intestinal tissue, permeability across Caco-2 cell line and on bioavailability of carbamazepine were evaluated and correlated. Complexation improved diffusion, permeability and invivo absorption, which could be, attributed to 12 folds increase in solubility.
