Ibuprofen, a water insoluble non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID), is used for the treatment of cold and fever. This work was aimed at the development of extended release gastroretentive dosages of ibuprofen from the excipients composed of polyvinyl alcohol-polyethylene glycol copolymer and polyvinyl alcohol.
