New Concept Applying to Microencapsulation

A dispersed phase consisting of methyl dichloroacetate, progesterone and PLGA was emulsified in an aqueous phase to form an oil-in-water emulsion. Adding ammonia solution into the emulsion led to the rapid conversion of methyl dichloroacetate into water-soluble methanol and dichloroacetamide. This procedure provided the formation of microspheres in an efficient manner. They displayed good characteristics and drug loading efficiency.
