The tolerability and bioavailability of three extended release (XR) capsules and Mirapex~R tablets were compared in beagles and healthy human volunteers. Results demonstrated that bioadhesive XR formulation administered once daily showed similar extent of absorption to Mirapex tablets given three times daily, with reduced degree of fluctuations and adverse effects.
