Oral drug delivery with polymeric nanoparticles: a mechanistic approach

The influence of the physicochemical properties of nanoparticles e.g., composition, size, surface properties or targeting ligand on their transport through the intestinal mucosa will be reviewed. The mechanisms of transport of nanoparticles will be discussed.
