Virtual test can greatly reduce test expense, rich test data, avoid test risk, so it is widely used to aid real test. The purpose of this paper is to describe the method and application of modeling and simulation technology in the area of launch vehicle virtual test. First of all, the main issues in virtual test are proposed, including test data managing, test run flow and test result collecting. Secondly, a virtual test software framework is designed to solve these virtual test problems. This framework is based on various modeling and simulation technologies. The framework is made up of four parts: server side, client side, virtual test model base and virtual test portal. Server side is the manager of entire system. The main modules include resource managing, user managing, data managing and task managing. Client side reports state of client to server side and takes charge of the local scheduling of test work. Virtual test model base stores launch vehicle virtual test math model. Virtual test portal is the interface between user and virtual test management system. Finally, all the project models are integrated according to the above framework and several launch vehicle virtual test application systems are developed.
