摘要

A texture method for displaying planar magnetic fields is presented. The field vectors are mapped to a grayscale image through their magnetic vector potential modulated with a sinusoidal function. This texture image visualizes a soft appearance of flux tubes instead of flux lines, whose orientation and width reflect the direction and amplitude of the flux density, respectively. An illuminated model based on this concept is further discussed. The images created by the new algorithms show some unique properties that are rather different from others.
