Road management and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) require reliable up-todate information about the road characteristics. The collection and maintenance of this data is a labour-consuming and costly job. Video recognition promises to be aa solu solution tion for this. Not only will it result in an up-to-date database, but also the work of the road inspector will be made easier resulting in aa higher quality of the service provided to the public.
