THE BALANCED SCORECARD FRAMEWORK IN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING: USING BALANCED SCORECARD TO MANAGE AND EVALUATE ENTERPRISES IN THE 21ST CENTURY

Industrial Engineering has been comprehended as the synthetic engineering science of systematic design and operational optimization in order to create and exert the full potential of organizations. In the global economy and information age, IE faces a lot of challenges. The future IE asks for the new inflow of organizational positioning, strategic framework, performance management and innovation-oriented management, etc. Balanced Scorecard may be a good way to fill up the gap. This paper applied the BSC framework to IE and looks at how to manage and evaluate enterprises with the framework.
