摘要

Data on the Bem Sex-Role Inventory indicated that the Ideal President in the 2004 election wasseen as more masculine than feminine. Republican candidates were seen as similar to the IdealPresident but Democrats were not. While masculinity continues to prevail, the complexity of thephenomena begs new theoretical perspectives.
