A Method of Communication between Asynchronous Receiving and Digital Signal Processing

To research the software realization of a Universal Asynchronous Receiver and Transmitter (UART) using the on-chip resources of DSP. By using the Buffered Serial Port (BSP), the data is transmitted, at the same time, it is received by general input pin, timer and external interrupt. With a few of external hardware, a very flexible full-duplex communication is accomplished by using the software UART. The paper provides a software UART that achieves asynchronous serial communication between DSP and computer.
