摘要

Engine fault diagnosis is a complex problem, and traditional methods are lack of ability to solve it. Using the characteristics of sound intensity, the engine’s surface was divided into different areas to collect sound intensity signals in this paper. Meanwhile, based on the signals’ characteristics, the working status of engine’s parts could be defined. In order to intelligentize fault diagnosis, the modular neural network model was built based on sound intensity characteristics. This research has advantages of non-touch collection, fast diagnosis, and on-line study, provides a new method to realize intelligent fault diagnosis of engine.
