Non-locality all the way through:Emergent Global Constraints in the Italian Morphological Lexicon

摘要

The paper reports on the behaviour of a Kohonenmap of the mental lexicon, monitoredthrough different phases of acquisition of theItalian verb system. Reported experiments appearto consistently reproduce emergent globalordering constraints on memory traces of inflectedverb forms, developed through principlesof local interactions between parallelprocessing neurons.
