To understand the outline of an environmental impact on FRP fishing boat through the life cycle, an inventory analysis was executed based on the actual results of a scallop fishing boat which had been built in the past. As the result, the emission of CO_2 throughout the 20 years' operation became 4,620 (ton). On the other hand, the CO_2 emission in the manufacturing stage was 79(ton), and 1.4(ton) in the dismantlement stage. In this breakdown, the operation of main engine occupied 95%, the production of heavy oil occupied 4%, and the production of steel occupied 1%.
