AN INVESTIGATION OF IT COMPANIES' PERCEPTIONS TOWARDS DEGREEBASED IT CERTIFICATION UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES

摘要

This paper examines the perception of information technology (IT) related companies in developing countries towards three IT related undergraduate programs: IT certification program, IT internship program, and IT certification program with internship. The study focuses on whether there exist any perceived differences among these three programs in terms of program benefits, program viability, and student employability. The data were collected and analyzed based on a sample of IT companies in Nigeria. The results and their managerial implications are presented and discussed.
