In this paper engineering methods to solve the problems of the bearing capacity of reinforced concrete (RC) shells on the basis of the kinematics method of limit equilibrium in the nonlinear statement are considered. In brought below examples of analysis of RC smooth and ribbed shells under concentrated loads is shown, that during analysis it is possible to define a deformed state of an elastic-plastic shells to the moment of reacting the limit state and to obtain the value of bearing capacity of RC shells corresponding with accepted scheme of deforming.
