摘要

In the recent years the importance of high quality encapsulation of solar cells has been made evident. Current developments led to promising improvements of the main properties of encapsulating film materials. More than 80% of PV-power-module producer use laminated film material for rear encapsulation. The main characteristics and requirements on the encapsulant are the protection of solar cells from environmental impacts, adhesion of the solar cells to encapsulant, optimal damp heat durability, UV resistance, high light transmission for transparent films, good module processability, low water vapour permeability, module stability ― generally long term stability and low costs. To achieve all these goals, it is important to have high quality solar cells and as well as high quality encapsulating components. Results concerning technology and new encapsulation materials are presented.
