PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear surface protective sheet for a CIS- or CZTS-based thin film solar cell module, having good adhesion even with cell glass that is laminated with a buffer layer in manufacturing a CIS- or CZTS-based thin film solar cell module, the buffer layer containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of ZnO, Zn(O)S, CdS and InS.SOLUTION: A rear surface protective sheet for a CIS- or CZTS-based thin film solar cell module includes: a base material resin layer comprising a polyester-based resin or a fluorine-based resin; and an adhesion reinforcing resin layer. The adhesion reinforcing resin layer contains: a polyethylene-based resin having a density of 0.870 g/cmor more and 0.970 g/cmor less; and a silane coupling agent. The silane coupling agent is a silane coupling agent having a mercapto group, and has a content with respect to the total resin component in the adhesion reinforcing resin layer of 0.25 mass% or more and 10.0 mass% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
