Study and Exploration of the Higher Education in 21st Century

摘要

In the 21st century, people need more and more knowledge in their work and life. It is the continuous development and application of new knowledge that brings the world into an era of knowledge economy which is an inevitable result of combining of the world economy with education. Knowledge development lies in science; science development lies in creation; creative people come from good-quality education. Creative people are the key factor in international communication, economic growth and technological advance. To meet the need of knowledge economy, our educational system should foster high-qualified and creative people. This paper mainly discusses some characteristics of the knowledge economy, problems in our current educational system and suggested ways of training qualified students with creative abilities.
