Evaluation of the San Antonio Metropolitan Model Deployment Initiative

This document presents results from the evaluation of the San Antonio, Texas MetropolitanModel Deployment Initiative (MMDI). As one of four model deployment sites selected by theUnited States Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT), the San Antonio initiative is intended toshowcase large-scale deployments of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and todemonstrate the benefits of deploying such systems in an integrated fashion. This paper briefly,introduces the various integrated deployments undertaken as part of the San Antonio effort andprovides a summary of the major findings associated with these deployments.
