摘要

We observed AES of cuprates, CuO_x with varying its oxygen content by a high resolution Auger electron spectroscopy. While the peak positions of the Cu(LMM), Cu(LMV), Cu(LVV), O(KL_1L_1) and O(KL_1V) were not changed by varying the oxygen content, that of the O(KVV) was shifted upwards with an increase in the oxygen content. These results clearly suggest that the valence of the O2p orbital is separated and shifted with an increase in the oxygen content.
