Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) process for the welding of high strength, low-alloy, structural steels has been the subject of interest to researchers. FCAW offers a number of advantages including good weld quality, high deposition rates, and allposition welding capabilities. This process is particularly useful for welding Carbon-Manganese steels. The resulting welds usually have good strength and toughness.
