Active vibration control of flexural structures was well discussed theoretically in the past two decades. Control strategies and theoretical models for the structural response were widely concerned. Special attention was concentrated on the application of different actuators and sensors, such as electrodynamic actuators, piezoelectrics, and shape-memory alloys etc.. Some experimental results were given for narrow band or harmonic spectrum vibrations of beams, plates and other simple structures, but the situation was still far from practical applications. More experimental explorations should be conducted for the systematic behavior of the whole thinq.
