摘要

A new computational tool for predicting mulktistory venting performance,VENT-M,has been developed and ocmpared to experimental data.this tool solves the one-dimensional form of the mass,momentum and energy equations to predict the flow,heat transfer,and condensation of a venting system for an arbitrary number of appliances.Predictions compared well to data from two and three story,five-appliance venting systems.With the integration of a graphical user interface,VENT-M can now be sued by architects,engineers,and builders in the desing and analysis of venting systems for multistory buildings.Both limitations and features of the model are discussed,as well a sfuture enhancements and current areas of research.
