摘要

Scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy measurements were carried out on a Bi_2Sr_2CaCu_2O_(8+ delta ) single crystal. When defects were observed on the surface, they located only at Bi-expansive region, not Bi-compressive region of modulated structure. Moreover, the surface at the Bi-expansive region was modified by scanning-tunneling microscopy tip. Different I-V characteristics were obtained by scanning tunneling spectroscoy method at modified and unmodified areas.
