Recent advances in MeV ion implantation

摘要

We review recent results and trends of high energy (MeV) implantation in the mechanical, electronic and optical domains, with applications ranging from point defect engineering to microstructure patterning. In many cases, it is shown that damage creation resulting from electronic interactions considerably affects the usual description of collision cascades that are valid at lower energies. Promising applications emerging in polymers are described.
