Recent approaches to car body structure of shinkansen

摘要

This is an abstract about aluminum alloy application to the car body structure of the Shinkansen trainhs in Japan. In the initial phase of the Shinkansen, steel material was used in the car body. Recently aluminum alloy is mainly used for all new Shinkansen for weight reduction of the car body due to higher speed.
