Moment arms of muscles at the knee during internal/external rotation for the normal knee and ACL minus knee

摘要

Knowledge of the three-dimensional balance of muscles at joints is important to treatment and rehabilitation of joints with diminished mechanical function. Knee Flexion-Extension moment arms have been studied (Buford et al., 1997) however, nostudies have been reported regarding internal-External (I/E) rotation moment arms at the knee. The objective of this report is to define the I/E moment arms throughout the I/E range of motion and so help improve our understanding of 3-D balance at theknee.
