SWEDISH MODEL FOR PREDICTION OF MAINTENANCE COSTS WHEN INCREASING AXLELOADS FROM 25 TO 30 TONS

摘要

This paper reports on an investigation recently performed by Banverket in Sweden on the technical and economical consequences of track maintenance and renewal from increasing the axle load from 25 to 30 tons on the Ore line in the north of Sweden. The study shows an expected increase of track maintenance costs of 3% assuming constant net transport volume of iron ore.
