Reduction of noise levels due to large industries require costly provisions on many sources. For this reason a strategy is favourable at which provisions are incorporated with new installations. Although it takes more time to reach the target, it is most cost effective. A continuous alertness is required to maintain the noise reducing effects, because of the flexibility of the plants.
