Integrating Family Formatiion and Scheduling in PCB Manufacturing

This paper presents an effective algorithm to identify the component families from a large number of component types in the manufactuure of printed circuit board (PCB) assembly system that uses surface mount technology, and to sequence the boards to multiple, identical insertion machines.
