Group Scheduling With Sequence Dependent Setups

摘要

In this paper the problem of scheduling part families and jobs within each family for a flow-line manufacturing cell is considered. Often the time to change over from one family to another on each operation is sequence dependent. Efficient procedures that develop permutation schedules for flow-line manufacturing cells with sequence dependent setup times are proposed. The procedures are tested on several problem sets which have varying numbers of families and machines, and varying setup time distributions. The procedures are evaluated on the basis of the makespans for the solutiosn that were generated.
