The Nuclear Plant Analyzer (NPA) for the Korean Standard Nuclear Power Plant (KSNP) has been developed as a real-time, desk-top simulator. The developed NPA was verified and validated by comparing with the realistic nuclear power plant data obtained during the Power Ascension Test (PAT) period of the Yonggwang Nuclear Power Platn Units 3 and 4 (YGN 3&4). The comparison of test data with KSNP NPA predicted dynamic responses showed good agreement in termso f parameter trends as well as absolute values. All plant control systems were properly actuated and stabilized the plant to a new steady state conditions. Therefore, the KSNP NPA demontrated its capability of interactive, real-time, best=estimate simulator for the KSnP and can be utilized as a good training and desing tool.
