A preliminary analysis of 129 experimental data points obtained in the SULTAN facility (CEA-Grenoble) on CHF in natural circulation, high diameters and sloping surfaces conditions has been performed. A new correlation (DINCE-alpha) to predict CHF in the above conditions was developed. The correlation is based on a structure identified by the authors during previous studies; it is characterized by very good statistics (72 percent of prediction within +/-10 percent, 89 percent of predictions within +/-20 percent, with an r.m.s error of 12 percent). Some considerations on possible improvements, with the availability of further data, are presented.
