Application of an aerosol formulation to potatio stroages

Experimences are described for the application of the aerosol formulation of CIPC (isoporopyl N-(3-chlorphenyl) carbamate) to potato storages. Initially, the application was developed as an "art". Mass balance typically accounted for only a small fraction of the CIPC that was used in the application A mass balance model for a storage application is described. A mathematical model was developed and is presented. This model calulates an estimate of the amount of CIPC in the vented aerosol and the amount of CIPC in the air a storage.
