摘要

Both bidirectional associative memory and binary valued, feedforward topology associative memory are discussed. The fatal limitation is their inability to encode a large number of pattern pairs. Combining the advantages of these two types of associative memory, a new mechanism is advanced in this paper. Through performing a number of simple operations on the binary valued basic elements provided by the mechanism, a high storage capacity of the associative memory can be acheived and these operations can be performed in a massively parallel way.
