Rassp methodologies and the rdeim model

Achieving the aggressive goals of the Rapid Prototyping of Application-Specific Signal Processors (RASSP) program requires new methodologies that significantly depart from previous approaches. This paper focuses on Martin Marietta's approach for developing a RASSP methodology that will improve the design and development of embedded digital signal processors. In discussing the methodology's development, the paper describes the Risk-Driven Expanding-Information Model (RDEIM) in relation to the spiral and waterfall process models.
